Who would like to be prince or princess of a castle for a day? This dream can come true in the Spruce Castle, in the Zillertal Arena. There is a tower with climbing frames and high ropes course elements, a slide tower, a wooden ball track in the hammock forest, a large sand and water play area for building castles, an observation tower, the Spruce Gnome building hut and much more. If you get hungry in the meantime, you can roast your own sausages to a crisp at the barbecue area in the castle kitchen. There is also a barbecue machine to keep you supplied.
The Fichtenschloss is only 5 minutes away from the mountain railway and therefore easily accessible for young and old, with or without a vehicle. The walk to the Fichtensee lake does not take long either. After a 15-minute walk along a forest path, you are already directly at the lake. The lake also has a lot to offer. From stand-up paddling, boating and high diving for the grown-ups to splashing about in the water, swimming to the island and eating ice cream for the little ones, everything is on offer. Not to forget: the wonderful view of the Zillertal! The viewing platform at Fichtensee with telescope and hanging swings is definitely worth a visit.
On nice summer evenings, a "Grill & Chill" is held at the lake. In a cosy atmosphere right by the water, you can enjoy an unforgettable evening with your loved ones with delicious delicacies. However, a reservation is necessary.
Neither the playground nor the lake is right for you? No problem. Hikes are also possible from the mountain railway. A very beautiful hike through nature leads to the "Kreuzjochhütte - Legalalm". It is located above the Fichtensee lake and can be reached in just under 2 hours. If you still feel like a summit tour, you can hike from there to the Kreuzjoch or the Karspitz.
Back down at the valley station of the Zillertal Arena, the day is far from over. It's time for a round of the "Arena Coaster". On the 1,450-metre-long track, every ride is an adventure. Waves, steep curves, 360 and 540 degree gyros await you. From the age of 10, you can ride this fast-paced ride alone. Otherwise, you must be accompanied by a person aged at least 16. Sounds like fun, doesn't it?
Whether it's the Spruce Castle, Spruce Lake, Summit Tours or Arena Coaster, you're guaranteed a great day out in the Zillertal Arena area. Let's go on an adventure!
