An impressive natural spectacle occurs at Krimml Waterfalls, as the thundering glacier river, the Wild Ache, plunges down the levels at Krimml Waterfalls.

The fall height here is **380 metres** and on average, **5.3 cubic metres of water** plunge into the valley every second. The invigorating spray from Krimml Waterfalls, set in the midst of the dreamy backdrop of the Hohe Tauern National Park, is a real boon on hot days and is also very beneficial for your lungs. The fine **water mist**, that results from the water hitting the ground below from a great height, contains a high number of negatively charged ions that reach your respiratory tract via the lungs, where their cleansing and anti-inflammatory effect unfolds.

Europe’s **biggest waterfalls** are breath-takingly beautiful and **easy** to get to via the Krimml Waterfall Trail. The four kilometre **circular Krimml Waterfall Trail,** created by the Austrian Alpine Association, is ideal for a view-packed hike through the natural surroundings at Krimml Waterfalls. The Krimml Waterfall Trail proceeds along numerous viewing points and pulpits, which help you get up close to the **natural spectacle** that is the Krimml Waterfalls.
